The RFx Type indicates the procurement method for the solicitation. These solicitations are the process of seeking information, proposals and quotes from suppliers. The City of Toronto issues solicitations when requesting bids for services, goods and/or construction. As there are multiple types of solicitations, the RFx Type stands for Request For, with the 'x' acting as a placeholder for the different types of solicitations i.e.: Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Quotation (RFQ), Tenders (RFT), Request for Information (RFI), Request for an Expression of Interest (REOI), Request for Pre-Qualification (RFSQ), and Offer to Purchase (OTP).

• Advanced Notice of Intended Procurement: A written notice published by the City, inviting interested suppliers to submit a bid in response to an upcoming solicitation. This is posted on TO Bids before the solicitation is considered live and available for bidding on the City's Online Procurement System. Also referred to as an Advanced NOIP.
• Notice of Intended Procurement: A written notice published by the City, inviting interested suppliers to submit a bid in response to a live solicitation that is available for bidding.

The date that a record is published on the City's Online Procurement System and is available for bidding. This date can occur at the same time as or after the Publish Date.

This is the final date and time that responses may be submitted for a solicitation. After this date, no responses may be accepted for the solicitation. The Submission Deadline can be extended if new or additional information needs to be provided to the supplier community about the solicitation.

Used to identify and group the goods/services being procured on behalf of the City of Toronto Divisions and designated Agencies, Boards and Commissions. i.e.: Goods and Services, Professional Services, and Construction Services.

A description or summary of the solicitation.

The name of the City Division requesting the solicitation. The final contract will be between this Awarded Supplier and this Division.

The name of the buyer. Buyer is the primary, purchasing City contact for the solicitation or contract from PMMD. Any questions about the solicitation or contract can be directed to this Buyer.
