The 1st tab, "Basement Flooding By Ward": All service requests received for water or sewage entering a basement due to a blocked drain, sewer backing up, or surface flooding from storm events.
Note: In some cases, a basement flood has been reported without Ward information due to a system glitch. Reports of this nature are tracked under "Missing Ward Info."
The 2nd tab: "BFPSP By Ward": The number of approved applications for the City's Basement Flooding Subsidy Protection Program. To assist homeowners, the City offers owners of single-family, duplex and triplex residential homes a financial subsidy of up to $3,400 per property to install flood protection devices including a backwater valve, a sump pump, and pipe severance and capping of the home's storm sewer or external weeping tile connection.
