Bicycle Counts

Two separate data sets are available:

1. Ongoing intersections counts: these are cyclist counts that have been gathered at intersections in order to measure the amount of cycling traffic at certain locations. These counts are typically done using automatic bike counters or by manual count. This dataset is continually updated as additional counts are completed.

2. One-time downtown screenline cyclist count: This study was conducted in September, 2010 and is used as a baseline for tracking cyclist trends. This Count provides data on how many cyclists are riding on downtown streets, when and where they are riding, and other characteristics about cyclists such as helmet use, gender, sidewalk riding, and whether the cyclist is transporting a passenger.
